Privacy Policy

Big South Land & Tree — Employee Portal. Effective September 2, 2026.

This privacy policy describes how Big South Land & Tree ("we," "us," "the company") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our employee portal at crm.bigsouthlandandtree.com and related communications, including text messages.

Information we collect

The portal is an internal tool for our employees. We collect and store information employees provide or generate while using it: name, work contact information (email address and phone number), job role, task and schedule activity, time-clock entries, time-off requests, document acknowledgements and signatures, payroll deduction records, and messages sent through the portal.

How we use information

Information is used solely to operate the business: coordinating work, scheduling, payroll and HR record-keeping, and sending work-related notifications. We do not use employee information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

Text messaging

Employees may opt in to receive work-related notifications by SMS text message (for example, task assignments, schedule changes, and time-off updates). Consent to receive text messages is collected in the portal's notification settings and is entirely optional; it is not a condition of employment or of using the portal. Message frequency varies with work activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the service providers necessary to deliver the messages (such as our SMS delivery provider) acting on our behalf.

Sharing

Your information will not be sold, rented, or given to third parties. It is accessible only to company management and the personnel and service providers who administer this system, and may be disclosed where required by law.

Security and retention

Information is stored on access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted connections. Records are retained as needed for business and legal purposes, such as employment and payroll records.
